Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a drawing app, map app, photo editor, and puzzle game. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
Sketch Rolls ($1.99 -> Free, iPad): An app for sketching, drawing, note taking, and more. The main difference is that you can roll out the virtual page for five times more space to extend your drawing space horizontally. The app also features great ink flow.
The World by National Geographic ($0.99 -> Free, iPad): The app presents the well known National Geographic 2D print cartography in three dimensional space. There’s also intuitive touch controls to explore the globe, and the ability to access flags, facts, and National Geographic photography.
Laminar Express ($1.99 -> Free, iPhone): A deluxe photo editing app that has an extremely advanced layering engine for iOS. It provides some of the most powerful features of Photoshop, but made for iOS allowing you to combine layers, add gradients, apply over 60 effects, annotate images, apply masks, use brushes, and more.
Geared 2 ($2.99 -> Free): Place the given gears on screen in an attempt to power the blue gears in this physics puzzle game. The sequel to Geared delivers new gear types, 60 levels, a level editor, and even a cute little hamster.
